Installation Notes

Installation Guidance For Schwabengitter® 2000:

• Level ground with a gradient of 1 to 2 %.
• Place a 20 to 40 cm thick layer of gravel or crushed aggregate over the ground according to your requirements and to the load that is to be absorbed. Use a material permeable to water for areas without a grassed fi nish. Use unwashed gravel or mineralized concrete for better root growth for grassed areas.
• Install and compress the sub-base.
• Place Schwabengitter® 2000 pavers onto the gravel layer. Pavers can be cut to fi t around obstructions and contours.
• Fill Schwabengitter® 2000 pavers with specifi ed sand and substrate. Finished levels should be 1 cm below the top of the cells after settlement.
• Apply the selected seed mix for Schwabengitter® 2000 pavers.

Installation Guidance For Schwabengitter® Ontop:

New Grass:

• Place Schwabengitter® Ontop onto the top of grass surfaces or gravel grassed areas. It can be applied onto levelled new grass or turf roll.
• Apply an appropriate fertilizer. We recommend Schwab turf roll fertilizer.

Existing Grassed Areas/Gravel Grassed Areas:

• Cut the existing grass as short as possible.
• Ensure that the surface is reasonably levelled.
• Place Schwabengitter® Ontop onto the grass. It can be cut with suitable shears to work round trees, edges and other obstacles. Level the surface once more, if required.
• Apply an appropriate fertilizer.

Equipment/Accessories:

We offer appropriate white marker caps in order to mark parking areas as required. In addition, we supply selected seed mixtures and appropriate fertilizers for obtaining ideal results.
